Getting started
What is Swim?
Swim is a free training and competition tracker for swimmers and coaches. Log your training, plan and record meets, set goals, and follow national and world records — all in one place.
Is Swim free?
Yes. Swim is completely free to use.
How do I create an account and sign in?
Tap Sign up to create an account with your email, then use the login page to sign in.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the login page, choose 'Forgot your password?' and we'll email you a link to set a new one.
Can I use Swim in English and Portuguese?
Yes. Swim is available in Portuguese (Brazil) and English. Change your language anytime from your Profile.
Swimmers & profiles
Can I track more than one swimmer?
Yes. Coaches and parents can add multiple swimmers and switch between them. Each swimmer has their own training, meets, goals and best times.
What does a swimmer profile show?
Each profile summarises total distance, training time, number of sessions, medals won, best times by stroke, and the latest meet results.
Training
How do I log a training session?
Go to Training and tap New session. Add the date, distance, duration and your set breakdown or notes.
How do I import a workout from Garmin?
In Training, use Import .FIT. To get the file, open the activity in Garmin Connect, click the gear icon and choose Export (a .FIT file). Swim reads distance, duration, heart rate and SWOLF automatically.
What are the A0–A3 intensity zones?
They describe training intensity: A0 recovery, A1 easy aerobic, A2 aerobic threshold, A3 anaerobic threshold. The calculators can suggest target paces per zone.
What do average/max HR and SWOLF mean?
HR is your heart rate during the session. SWOLF (strokes + time) measures swimming efficiency — lower is better. Both are filled in automatically from a Garmin import when available.
Meets & results
How do I add a meet and enter swims?
Open Meets, create a new meet, then add each swim with its event, entry time and — after racing — the result time and place.
Can I import a meet from a PDF or the calendar?
Yes. You can import meets and swims from a meet-program PDF, or copy an upcoming meet straight from the public meet calendar.
What are FINA points?
FINA points score a performance against the world standard for that event, so you can compare swims across different events and distances. Swim calculates them for your results.
How do Masters meets work?
Mark a meet as Masters and your results are tracked against Masters standards and records rather than open/professional ones.
Goals & best times
How do I set a goal and track progress?
In Goals, set a target time and deadline for an event. Swim shows how close your best swum time is to the target.
How is goal progress calculated?
Progress is how close your best time is to the target: 100% means you've hit or beaten it; 0% means your best is roughly twice the target or slower. The number shows the gap in seconds — negative means you're ahead.
Where do my best times come from?
Best Times are drawn from your swum meet results, by stroke and pool length. Each one also shows the gap to the world record.
Records
Which records does Swim show?
World, Olympic, World Junior, continental and national records, for both long-course (50m) and short-course (25m) pools, men and women.
How often are records updated?
Records are synced weekly from World Aquatics (FINA), so they stay current automatically.
Calculators
What can the calculators do?
Two tools: intensity zones (target paces for A0–A3 from a reference time) and FINA points (convert a time to points and back).
News & calendar
Where does the swimming news come from?
Swim gathers recent stories from trusted swimming sources and publishes a short summary in Portuguese, with a link to the original article. New items are posted automatically twice a day.
What's in the meet calendar?
Upcoming swimming competitions with their dates, locations and entry deadlines. You can copy any of them into your own meets.
Notifications
What notifications will I receive?
Swim can notify you about upcoming meets, goal deadlines, newly published news, and replies to your feedback.
How do I enable push notifications?
When you first sign in, allow notifications in your browser or device. You can manage them from the Notifications page.
Account, privacy & data
Is my data private?
Yes. Your training, meets and goals are visible only to you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Go to Profile → Danger zone → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and all of your data, in line with GDPR and LGPD.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
